Privacy Policy | No The End

This Privacy Policy applies to the No The End mobile application ("No The End", "we", "us", or "the App") for Android and iOS, published by the No The End team. We built No The End for quiet, undistracted reading, and we built the privacy model the same way.

The short version

No The End is fully offline. It does not require an internet connection to work.
We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data.
We use no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party trackers.
You don't need an account. There is no login.
Your PDF books and reading position stay only on your device.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, location data, advertising identifiers, IP addresses, device identifiers, crash logs, or usage analytics. The App does not transmit information about you, your child, or your reading habits to us or to any third party.

Information stored on your device

To do its job, No The End reads PDF files you choose and remembers things like your last-opened book, current page, and app preferences. This information is stored locally on your tablet in the App's sandbox. It is never sent off the device. Uninstalling the App removes it.

Permissions

On Android and iOS, the App may request permission to read files you select so it can open your PDFs. We use these permissions only to display the content you point us at. We do not scan, index, upload, or share your files.

Children's privacy

No The End is designed to be used by a parent or caregiver while reading to a child. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction). The App complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by collecting no information at all, and with Google Play's Families Policy and Apple's Kids Category guidelines on the same basis.

Third-party services

The App contains no third-party SDKs that collect personal data. The only third-party interactions are with the app stores themselves (Google Play and Apple App Store) when you download or update the App; those interactions are governed by Google's and Apple's privacy policies, not ours.

Google Play Data Safety disclosure

In accordance with Google Play's Data Safety requirements, we disclose the following about No The End on Android:

Data collected: None.
Data shared with third parties: None.
Data encrypted in transit: Not applicable; the App makes no network requests.
Data deletion request: Not applicable; no data is collected. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored content.
Independent security review: The App follows Google Play's Families Policy and the Designed for Families program guidelines.

No The End complies with the Google Play Families Policy and Developer Program Policies.

Apple App Store privacy disclosure

In accordance with Apple's App Store privacy nutrition label requirements, we disclose the following about No The End on iOS and iPadOS:

Data Used to Track You: None.
Data Linked to You: None.
Data Not Linked to You: None.
App Tracking Transparency: The App does not request the IDFA and does not track users across other apps or websites.
Kids Category: Although designed for parents to read to children, No The End follows the principles of Apple's Kids Category: no third-party analytics, no third-party advertising, and no behavioral tracking.

No The End complies with the Apple App Store Review Guidelines, including Section 5.1 (Privacy) and Section 1.3 (Kids Category).

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. You can delete all local data at any time by uninstalling the App.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the App handles data, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted in the App.
